Description

Prophet Ibrahim brought his wife Hajar and their son Ismaill, who was still suckling, and left them at the site of present day Makkah. They sat under a lone tree at the place of Zamzam, then an uninhabited and waterless place. Ibrahim left a bag of dates and a goatskin of water with them and turned to walk away.

Hajar asked, "O Ibrahim, why are you leaving us in this barren valley? Has Allah commanded you to do so? He answered, "Yes". Thereupon Hajar said, "Allah will not let us perish.” Ibrahim left and when he reached a point when he no longer could see them, he supplicated, "O Lord, I have left my family in a barren valley by Your Sacred House, in order that they may establish regular prayer; so fill the hearts of some among men with love for them and feed them with fruits so they may give thanks.” [Qur'an: Ibrahim: 37] 

The effect of his supplication is obvious in the Arabian Peninsula till today!

 أصل بئر زمزم الجزء 1

جاء إِبراهيم ﷺ بالسيدة هاجر وبابنها إِسماعيل وهي ترضعه حتى وضعها عند البيت عند دوحة فوق زمزم في أعلَى المسجد، وليس بمكةَ يومئذ أحد وليس بِها ماء، فوضعهما هناك

وضع إِبراهيم ﷺ عندهما جرابًا فيه تمرٌ، وسقَاء فيه ماءٌ. ثمّ قفى إِبراهيم منطَلقًا، فتبعته هاجر فقالَت: يا إبراهيم أين تذهب وتتركنا بهذا الوادي الذي ليس فيه أنيس ولا شيء؟ فَقالَت له ذلك مرارًا، وجعل لا يلتفت إلَيها، قالَت لَه: آللّهُ أمرك بهذا؟ قال: نعم. قالت: إِذًا لا يضيِعنا، ثم رجعت

فانطلق إبراهيم ﷺ، حتى إِذا كان عند الثَّنِيَّةِ حيث لا يرونه. استقبل بوجهه البيت، ثم دعا بهؤلاء الدعوات، فرفع يديه فقَال: كما جاء في القرآن الكريم: "رَبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنْتُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ" [إبراهيم:37]

ويظهر أثر دعائه واضح في الجزيرة العربية حتى يومنا هذا!
