Description

Good relations with one's neighbours are essential for the development of a peaceful and harmonious community and are emphasised so much that the Prophet Muhammed said:

"Angel Jibreel continued to recommend me to treat neighbours kindly and politely, so much so that I thought that he would order me to make them my inheritors." Stated below are some other statements of the Prophet highlighting a few more of these rights: "By Allah, he does not believe! By Allah he does not believe! By Allah he does not believe! (he is not a Muslim), the one whose neighbour does not feel safe from his evil." "Anyone who believes in Allah and the last day should not harm his neighbour should entertain his guests generously and speak what is good or keep quiet.”

حسن الجِوار في الإسلام

إن حسن الجوار من الأمور الضرورية لقيام مجتمعٍ يسوده السلام والوئام، وكان من حرص النبي (ﷺ) أن قال: "مَا زَالَ جِبْرِيلُ يُوْصِيْنِيْ بِالْجَارِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُورِثُهُ"

وفيما يلي بعض أقوال النبي (ﷺ) التي تبين بعض حقوق الجار

"واللَّهِ لا يُؤْمِنُ، واللَّهِ لا يُؤْمِنُ، واللَّهِ لا يُؤْمِنُ، قِيلَ: مَنْ يا رسولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: الَّذي لا يأْمنُ جارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ". "مَن كانَ يُؤْمِنُ باللَّهِ واليَومِ الآخِرِ فلا يُؤْذِ جارَهُ، ومَن كانَ يُؤْمِنُ باللَّهِ واليَومِ الآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ، ومَن كانَ يُؤْمِنُ باللَّهِ واليَومِ الآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أوْ لِيَصْمُتْ"
